Patricia Clair Farmer

1944 - 2022

Farmer, Patricia Clair, - 78, of Pleasantville, faithful wife to her husband David for 56 years; survived by her children David and wife Dawn, Nathan and wife Jennifer, and Rachel and husband Joe; and six grandchildren Cade and Bella Farmer, Morgan and Avery Farmer; Emma and Leah Truhon; and by her sisters Anne Becker of Galloway township, Sue Miller of Largo, Florida, Georgette Kirlin of Largo, Florida. In high school, Pat was captain of the Batonettes, a student council member, wrote and directed four high school plays, and sang in the High School choir. Pat participated in several beauty pageants. She was Miss Pleasantville in 1963. She also participated in Miss Atlantic County, Miss Hydrangea Festival, and a beauty contest at Bowling Green University. She loved to sing, joining a musical group known as "Patty and the Checkmates," who performed at the famous 500 Club in Atlantic City. She was a manager at the Pleasantville Co-op, a natural food store, and office manager of Shockey's Pure Water in Egg Harbor City. Her greatest impact was her role as a Pastor's wife at the Mainland Baptist Church in Pleasantville, NJ, and the Berean Church in Galloway, NJ. She was devoted to the Lord Jesus and followed Him faithfully throughout her life. She loved the Word of God and spent time in Bible Study daily, sharing that knowledge with her Sunday School classes. Her husband depended upon her editing skills in all printed materials of their ministry together. She loved to sing "I Surrender All." A voice we will miss. She was a member of the Friendship Bible Church of Egg Harbor Township. Her greatest joy was watching her children and grandchildren grow up. She was involved in about everything in their lives, a hands-on participant in the beautiful and talented manner in which they were raised. To capture their lives, she produced yearly slide shows to share with the whole family. It was a special treat for the Farmer family at Christmas to watch "Nana and Pop-Pop productions." We all will miss her, but she is in the arms of Jesus, basking in His light, personally feeling His love, and experiencing the sights and sounds of Heaven. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022 at 1:00 PM in Adams-Perfect Funeral Home with visitation from 12:00-1:00. Interment will follow at Atlantic City Cemetery.
