Patricia Marie "Pat" Garrison, 82, of Locust Grove, OK, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025, in Salina, OK. Pat was born on February 20, 1943, in Enterprise, OK, to Earl Henry & Maxine Faye (Stockton) Pearson. She grew up in Enterprise & attended grade school at Bughill, a one-room schoolhouse. After Bughill, she continued her education in Quinton, OK, where she graduated with the Class of 1960.
On October 12, 1963, Pat married the love of her life, Dewey Garrison, in Quinton, OK. When they were first married, they made their home in Cushing, OK, later moving to Oologah, where they spent 21 wonderful years before settling in Locust Grove in June of 1987. They had been married for over 56 years before Dewey preceded her in death on February 13, 2020.
Pat worked for Southwestern Bell in Cushing as a key punch operator early in her career. She & her best friend, Dortha Martin, were known for picking and selling gallons of pecans together. Pat also spent many years as a waitress at several local restaurants in Locust Grove-including Village Inn, Cook's, Denny's, & the Donut Shop. She worked hard, always with a friendly smile and a quick wit, & continued waitressing until her retirement in 2007.
At home, Pat found joy in the simple things. She loved to garden, can vegetables, & spend time on the front porch with her coffee-usually with at least one grandkid by her side. She enjoyed bird watching, especially her hummingbirds, & working around the farm. Pat was known for her delicious home cooking-her Mexican food, beans & cornbread, and fried chicken were family favorites, & no breakfast was complete without her oatmeal.
She loved long phone calls with family, watching her soap operas (especially The Young and the Restless and Days of Our Lives), & she never missed an episode-often recording them just in case.
Pat will be remembered for her loving heart, her sense of humor, & her ornery, jokester spirit. Above all, she loved her family deeply & was happiest when surrounded by them.
Pat is survived by: 3 children: Dennis Garrison and spouse Wayne Perego of Locust Grove, OK, Mindy Garrison-Adams and husband Robert of Jay, OK, & Amanda Garrison-Thomas & David Drake of Pryor, OK; 8 grandchildren: Cheryl Alls & husband Cody of Kansas City, MO, Christopher Bostic of Tulsa, OK, Maranda Morales & husband Teodoro of Broken Arrow, OK, Timi Kaye Simmons & husband J.C. of Jay, OK, Hunter Tedrick of Tulsa, OK, Robby Thomas of Rose, OK, Riley Garrison & wife Fallon of Broken Arrow, OK, Randal Thomas & wife Danni of Quantico, VA; 16 Great grandchildren: Lawson Alls & wife Laura, Ema Alls, Lux Alls, Mason Morales, Kaleb Morales, Mateo Morales, Cadance Simmons, James Simmons, Cooper Thomas, Rowan Thomas, Charlotte Thomas, Eleanore Thomas, Augustus Thomas, Blake Ferguson, Kaleigh Ferguson, & one on the way, Dewey Scott Garrison; & 1 great-great grandchild on the way; 2 sister-in-laws: that were more like sisters: Pam Garrison of Rose, OK & Joyce Pearson of Greenwood, AR; 3 brother-in-laws: one that was more like a brother: Bob Morgan of Claremore, OK; Leonard Smith of Locust Grove, OK, & Edward Mayes & wife Sue of Tulsa, OK; Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & a host of friends.
