Patricia J. Goebel
Dec. 8, 1940 - Nov. 21, 2023
Patricia "Patsy" Jean Goebel, age 82, passed away at home on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.
Patsy was born in Perkinstown on December 8, 1940, the daughter of John and Hulda (Kauss) Foss.
On August 27, 1960, she was united in marriage to her husband, Robert Goebel, Sr., in Reeseville.
She was a professional dog groomer and owned her own business "Pat's Pet Grooming" for many years. She also worked at Wisconsin Cheeseman.
After retirement, she became extremely proficient on the computer, working on many projects for family and friends, such as invitations, posters, and scrapbooks for the kids.
An animal lover, she always had dogs, cats, and horses, and shared her passion as a 4-H leader, even leading the Horse Project's Drill Team.
Patsy always enjoyed playing bingo, anytime and anywhere. Her greatest joy, however, was her grandkids. She was always more than willing to babysit and spend time with them.
Patsy is survived by her daughter, Carrie (Keith) Schoeffling; son, Rob (Pat) Goebel; grandchildren: Brad (Jessica) Green, Jamie (Tyler) Heindl, Corey (Maddy) Green, Kelsey (Josh) Greeley, Taylor Goebel; great-grandchildren: Hadley and Harrison Green, and one more on the way, "Wally" Greeley; sister, Merle Nehmer; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rob, Sr., in September; siblings: Fola Fietz, Doris Duessler, Marie Doleshal, Lois Caldwell, and Bobby Foss; and other relatives.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, January 7, 2024 at the American Legion, 229 Poet Street in Columbus from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
