Patricia Ann Gorhum

Patricia Ann Gorhum (Chism) of McAllen, TX, went to be with the Lord on November 1, 2025. Patrica was born on June 13, 1945, in Meridian, Mississippi. She was a graduate of the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (Pan American University). She spent 34 years teaching Kindergarten at Thigpen Elementary in the McAllen Independent School District, where she touched the lives of many. Patrica was significantly involved in her local church, McAllen First Assembly of God, where she was the longest attending member. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother (Nani), sister, and friend. Patricia is survived by her husband of 61 years, Dan, her daughter Leann (Shawn), her granddaughters Kaylee, EmJ, and Remi, brothers-in-law Norbert Hernandez and Frank (Darlene) Gorhum, and sisters-in-law Jessie Klinge, Dorthy Reeves, Jimmy Savage, Cheryl Gorhum, and Golda Gorhum. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lee Stricker; her father, Ellis Chism; and her sister, Hope Hernandez.
