Patricia Ann Groves

Patricia Ann Groves, 85 of Otway, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026 at her home. She was born on January 13, 1941 in Rarden, Ohio to the late Randall Blackburn and Margaret Angeline Short Blackburn. On July 1, 1961 she was united in marriage to Robert Lee Groves, Sr. who preceded her death on August 16, 2016. Surviving are her son, Robert (Tammy) Groves, Jr. of Rarden; grandchildren, Jewell (David) Rivers, Robert L. Groves III, Alyssa Bashan, John Ward and Austin Wayne (Brittany) Groves; great grandchildren, Nathan David (Lizzy) Rivers, Zachary Groves, Ayden Groves, Owen Thomas and Jase Rivers; a great-great-grandchild, Merritt Rivers; a brother, Tom Blackburn and a sister, Nancy Carter. In addition to her husband and her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her daughter; Jeanne Lynn Groves; a son, Randy Neal Groves; and siblings; Lela Whitt and Kenneth Blackburn.

Patricia was a longtime member of the Portsmouth Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at U.P. Cemetery in Otway with Ron Anderson officiating.
