Patricia Ann (Wallis) Gussler, age 82, of Elizabethton, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at her residence. Patricia was born in Burlington, New Jersey to the late Baird and Lillian (Smick) Wallis. In addition to her parents, Patricia was also preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Albert H. Gussler in 2016; and a brother, Robert Wallis.
Patricia was a good wife, mother, grandmother and friend always helping other people. She was well liked by everyone that knew her. Patricia was known to be set in her ways but very generous and loving. She was a homemaker and was of the Christian faith. Patricia loved to take care of and provide food to people. She loved animals, her family, talking on the phone and watching game shows- especially Steve Harvey.
Those left to cherish Patricia's memory include her daughter, Terri Roe of Elizabethton; her sons, Albert "Buddy" Gussler and wife Debbie of Elizabethton and Tom Gussler and wife Debbie of New Jersey. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service to celebrate Patricia's life will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton with Pastor Greg Wagner officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM in the funeral home chapel prior to the service on Saturday.
Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Carter County Animal Shelter or the Elizabethton Police Department.
The family would like to especially thank Patricia's doctors and nursing staff and all of her friends for their care, love and kindess. Also to Unity Fellowship Church for their love and support.
