Patricia "Patti" Beck Hansen
January 2, 1942 – November 2, 2025
Patricia "Patti" Beck Hansen, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, surrounded by family.
Born in Burley, Idaho, Patti found great joy throughout her life in the service of others. This was highlighted by her career as a registered nurse, which she continued to do until retirement at age 70. She married Gary Hansen in the Salt Lake Temple in August 1964 and quickly adopted his extended family as her own. She was known for her compassion and readiness to help anyone in need, her leadership, and the ability she had to remember details about people and connect with them.
Our family quickly realized no matter where we lived or visited, the world was quite small with Mom by our side. She would always find a relative or someone from Burley! She loved keeping in touch with as many people as she could, writing letters and emails, and sending cards and care packages. She shared her faith through service and her love of music.
A true disciple of Jesus Christ, Patti was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she played the organ for many years and held several leadership positions. She served a church mission with her husband Gary in Denmark, her adopted country that she held close to her heart most of her adult life.
She is survived by her husband Gary; children Erik (Jody), Lisa (Clark), and Heidi; grandchildren Constance, Samuel, Sophie, Peter, Lucy, Urban, Karrsten, Chloe, and Henley; sister Diane McVity; brother Leonard Beck; her Danish "sons" Niels and Jens Madsen and their families; and many extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers Bruce and Rodney and her two daughters Kirsten and Kara.
We can picture the great reunion in heaven when Patti arrived with the clarity of mind for which she was known when she was healthy.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, November 15th at 11:00 AM at the Quail Ridge Ward chapel, 807 W Capilla Dr, Washington, UT 84780. The funeral will follow at 1:00 PM, with a luncheon afterward.
Patti's interment will be held on Monday, November 17th at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant View Cemetery at 1645 E 16th Street, Burley, Idaho.
