Waynesville, Hickman, Patricia Kaiser, 91, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025.
Born in Lexington, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Houston Alton Kaiser and Lola Price Kaiser and one of seven children. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, Joe Hickman, dear daughter, Janice Williams, and five of her six siblings.
Patricia was a homemaker known for her passionate opinions and strong will. She and Joe built a life and home that they were proud of through hard work, sacrifice, and careful planning. Her home was full of love, and she often expressed that love by cooking for her family and friends. She loved desserts and enjoyed taking cooking classes. Patricia was a Silver Life Master at Bridge and a member of the Waynesville Duplicate Bridge Club. She also enjoyed the simple beauty around her, especially in flowers and the books she read. She loved her church family at Shady Grove United Methodist Church.
Patricia is survived by her sons, Phillip (Rhonda) Hickman and David Hickman; sister, Rhoda (Morelle) Jones; grandchildren, Patricia McGuire Baumgartner, Dr. John Russel McGuire, Phyllis Hickman, Dr. Lauren Hickman Curnutt, and Patrick Hickman and five great grandchildren.
