Patricia Hogan Obituary
RENSSELAER - Patricia Ann Fitzgerald Hogan Whitford, born on July 27, 1938, in Albany, N.Y., to Mary Smith and James Fitzgerald, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025.
Patricia dedicated many years of her life to the Rensselaer Jr./Sr. High School, where she worked before retiring. She continued serving her community at the Rensselaer Public Library after retirement.
Patricia was predeceased by her parents; her husbands, Donald John Walter Hogan and David Whitford; her sister, Mary E. Fitzgerald Manning; and her beloved granddaughter, Jamie N. Hogan.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Sunday, September 21, from 2 to 5 p.m., at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer, N.Y. 12144. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 22, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church, 54 Herrick St., Rensselaer, N.Y. 12144. Interment will immediately follow the Mass in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Mom,
Thank you for all your love and support. You never failed to be there for every sporting event or whimsical interests I was involved in. You kissed away every tear, scrubbed out every grass stain and traveled the globe to watch me play ball. You handled your own heartaches like a champ and guarded us from pain. I take comfort knowing you are home with our loving Father and reunited with Dad. I love you eternally..until we meet again
