Patricia Hutchins Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Andres-Wuestefeld Funeral Home - Dover on Dec. 28, 2025.
Patricia Hutchins, 84 years old of Bright, IN, passed away peacefully December 26, 2025. Christmas was Patricia's favorite time of the year. Her home was a masterpiece of trees, lights and warmth, and her gifts were always intricately wrapped in beautiful paper and bows. Perhaps it is fitting that she was called home during this special time of the year that she treasured so much.

Patricia was married for 38 years to the love of her life, David Hutchins, before his passing in 2003. After his death, she found great comfort in her beloved Golden Retriever, Heidi. Patricia worked at Procter and Gamble as an administrative assistant in the Human Resources department and retired after 32 years. She was very strong in her Catholic faith and was an active member of St. Teresa of Benedicta of the Cross in Bright.

As a family, Patricia, David, and their two boys, Sean and Patrick, vacationed on Sanibel Island every summer. Over those 25 years, she made lifelong friends on the island. As she was blessed with grandchildren, Mimi, as she was loving called by them, found joy in sharing the beauty of the island with her them.

Patricia will be deeply missed by her children Sean (Jessa) Hutchins and Patrick (Kim) Hutchins; grandchildren Adrienne Hutchins, Brandon Hutchins, Cameron Hutchins, Meghan (Brian Zimmerman) Hutchins, John ("Jack") Hutchins, Michael Hutchins; and sister Peggy (Tom) Darling. She is preceded in death by her husband, David; daughter-in-law Lisa Hutchins; parents Claude and Inez Smith; and 17 siblings.

Services honoring Patricia will be held on Tuesday, January 6 at St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross in Bright, IN. Visitation will be from 9:00am - 11:00am and Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph New Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH. Memorials can be made to PAWS of Dearborn County or St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross. Memorials will be accepted at the visitation or can be mailed to the funeral home. Family and friends are encouraged to leave condolences at www.andres-wuestefeldfh.com.
