Patricia Ruth "Pat" Kissel (Shepard) passed away on October 30, 2025, in Grove, Oklahoma.She was 97 years old.
Born on July 27, 1928, in Wheatland, Wyoming, to Paten and Bernita (Morrison) Shepard. Pat lived a long and meaningful life rooted in service and dedication. Over the years, she contributed to her communities through her work in various positions in the banking industry and finally retiring from her position as a clerk with the Land and Oil Division of the State of Wyoming in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Her professional life reflected her commitment to diligence and responsibility.
Pat was a sweet and social individual who cherished independence and the company of others. She was well-liked in her community, known for her warm spirit and the ability to make everyone feel welcome. Pat moved to Grove in 2017 to be closer to her family. Her hobbies included a love for reading, sewing, ceramics, cooking, and canning, with a particular talent for making the best choke cherry jelly.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 66 years, Howard Kissel, and grandson Weston Kissel.
Left to cherish her memory, son, Willard Kissel (Cynthia) of Manchester, TN and daughter, Julia Reiling (Jim) of Grove, OK, sister, Dorothy Krebs of Gold Hill, OR, granddaughter, Ragan Osborne (Jon), two great granddaughters, Scarlett Osborne and Stella Osborne, and several loving step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial services are planned for a later date.
