HALFMOON - Patricia "Pat" M. Kurywka, 78, of Halfmoon and formerly of Cohoes, passed away at St. Peter's Hospice, on Monday, May 13, 2024. She was born in Cohoes and was the daughter of the late Michael and Rose Kostyk Kurywka, Sr. She was educated in St. Peter and St. Paul School, in Cohoes and Samaritan School of Nursing, in Troy, where she received her Bachelor's Degree as a Registered Nurse. She worked at Samaritan Hospital, in Troy and retired from the New York State Department of Health. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Paul Kurywka, Sr., and Michael Kurywka. Pat is survived by her nephew, Paul Kurywka of Albany; great-niece, Bridget (Christopher) Engel of Waterford; and great-great-niece, Josephine Rose Engel; also survived by many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church, Loudonville, on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Peter & St. Paul Cemetery, Waterford.
