Patricia Rae Lafferty

Mrs. Patricia Rae Brechting Lafferty, 72, of Shelbyville, KY passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, at her home. Born Monday, February 23,1953 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Patricia was the daughter of the late James E. Brechting and the late Patricia L. (Sawosko) Ealy.

She is survived by her husband Mr. Wm. Lee Lafferty of Shelbyville, KY married in October 1997, no children.

Patricia (Pat, Patty, Busha) is lovingly remembered by stepchildren; Elizabeth Lafferty, Tiffany Lafferty - husband Victor Taylor, Ashley Lafferty; grandchildren, Kennedie Lafferty & Trebor Chesher (Ashley), William Taylor (Tiffany); Nieces, Leslie Hardy (Jackie), Sarah Schlindwein; Nephew, Zachary Brechting (Jimmy); Sister, Jacquelyn Anderson - husband Billy of Taylorsville, KY; Brother, James 'Jimmy' Brechting wife Teresa Suttorp of Hopkins Michigan. Grandnieces Kaylee, Briana, Grandnephew Mason (Leslie).

Patricia was a retired City Planner for Louisville, Jefferson County, KY and later also retired from Crown Castle, Pike Legal Group, and Craig & Associates where she worked on zoning for locations for Cell Towers.

A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at the Shannon Funeral Home in Shelbyville, Kentucky. Visitation will take place from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at the funeral home.
