Patricia A. Larkin

Patricia Ann Larkin of Sugar Grove, formerly of Aurora, Illinois, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 17, 1946, in Morris, Illinois, Patricia lived a life defined by kindness, creativity, faith, and a deep devotion to others.
A proud graduate of the University of Illinois, Class of 1968, Patricia dedicated 34 years to teaching in the West Aurora School District. She was a gifted and passionate educator whose commitment to her students earned her the distinguished Golden Apple Award for teaching-an honor reflecting her exceptional impact in the classroom.
Patricia was an avid quilter and crafter, creating beautiful handmade pieces that brought joy to family and friends. She cherished her time vacationing in Florida, where she found relaxation in her quilting club and going to the beach. Patricia was also a longtime and faithful member of Holy Angels Church in Aurora, where she found community, strength, and comfort throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Amelia Panish of Morris, Illinois, and her sister, Rosemary Hutchings of Aurora.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Frank Larkin of Sugar Grove, Illinois; her sons, Brian Larkin of Aurora and Jason Larkin of Elgin; and her sister, Dolores Alsvig of Sugar Grove. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever remember her warm heart, gentle nature, and generous spirit.
Patricia's legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched and the love she shared throughout her lifetime.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 10 AM to 11 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 120 S. Lancaster Ave., Aurora, IL 60506. A funeral Mass will immediately follow the visitation, at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that any donations be made to Cal's Angels or American Lung Association.
