Patricia Larson, age 85, of Hayti, SD, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, surrounded by her family. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:30 pm on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the New Hope Lutheran Cemetery in Hayti, SD. Visitation will follow from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at New Hope Lutheran Church in Hayti. The Graveside Service will be recorded and uploaded to follow the service on Saturday.
Pat grew up in the Erwin, South Dakota area and graduated from Erwin High School. She later worked as a dental hygienist and held several jobs over the years, including positions with the Hamlin County Extension Office, Midcom, and Hy-Vee. She also spent many years as a homemaker and enjoyed accompanying her husband Bob on his adventures.
On October 23, 1965, Pat married Robert “Bob” Larson. They lived and farmed in the Hayti area.
Pat was a member of New Hope Church in Hayti. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, gardening, flowers, spending time with family, and maintaining several collections.
Pat is survived by her children: Timothy Larson of Hayti, Sarah (Dennis) Gentry of Sioux Falls, Jeff Larson of Hayti, and Gerald (Brittany) Larson of Hayti; grandchildren Amanda, Tyler (Makenzie), Laura, Alyce, Carolyn, and Otis; and her sister, M’Liss (John) Fuhr of Arlington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Frances; her husband, Robert Larson; and many sisters- and brothers-in-law.
