GREENVILLE -- Patricia Ann (Barga) McEldowney, age 95 of Greenville, formerly of Arcanum, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025. She was born January 29, 1930, to the late Cyril "Bob" and Mary Elizabeth (Groff) Barga.
Pat was a faithful member of the Church of the Transfiguration Catholic Church in West Milton for 69 years and made many friends there. She loved the piano so much, she took lessons and played again in the 1970's, and then she started to teach numerous students for over 20 years before she stopped. She then took up painting and loved it and donated many of the paintings to family members and the church over the years. She had a long full life….and will be truly missed.
She is survived by her children: Sheliah (Larry) Sutter, Kevin McEldowney, Maureen (James) Miller, Deron McEldowney, Sean (Danita) McEldowney, 10 grandchildren: Jamie Sutter, Brian (Ann) McEldowney, Brad (Tiffany) McEldowney, Tiffani Lippincott, Morgan (Anthony) Bagnasco, Kelsi (Dustin) Underwood, Alexis (Nimai) Benson, Aiden (Isabell) McEldowney, Anne Marie, Britney (Deric) Compton, 17 great grandchildren, sister-in-law: Jeanette (Denis) Monnin, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 69 years: Cletus McEldowney, brothers: Reed (Frances) Barga, Emerson (Betty) Barga, Jake Barga, Ray Barga and only sister: Mary Lou (John) Hall, daughter-in-law: Mary McEldowney and grandson: Trevor Pigg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the Church of the Transfiguration Catholic Church (972 S. Miami St., West Milton) with Father Eric Bowman as celebrant. Interment will follow the Mass at Miami Memorial Park in Covington. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m., at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood).
