Lynn, MA - Patricia L. "Pat" (O'Connor) McManus, age 88, of Lynn, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. She was the wife of the late Robert P. "Bob" McManus with whom she shared 55 years of marriage until his passing in January of 2012. Born in Lynn in 1936, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Ruth (Dore) O'Connor. She was raised in Lynn, attended Lynn Public Schools, graduated from Lynn English High School in 1954 and was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary's Parish in Lynn. Pat was a fantastic cook and had a talent for sewing and knitting. She often made blankets and sweaters for her family and friends, a true testament to her thoughtfulness and creativity. In addition to her culinary and crafting skills, Pat enjoyed travelling, often exploring new places with Bob. These adventures enriched her life and gave her a deep appreciation for the world around her, which she shared with her family in many heartfelt stories.
She was the loving mother of three children: Kellie and her husband Thomas Gaudet of New Braunfels, TX, Kevin McManus and his partner Eileen McDonough of Peabody and Kristine Valente of Gloucester. She was the devoted grandmother of Dr. Jason Gaudet and his wife Dr. Laura Starzynski of Michigan, Caitlyn and her husband Lt. Col. Colter Bahlau of Reston, VA, Robert McManus and his partner Stefani of Peabody, Ryan McManus and his partner Brianna of Cambridge, Sean McManus of Dorchester, Gabriella Valente and her fiancé Andrew Rowland of Boston and Olivia Valente and her partner Dylan Murphy of Danvers. Pat was also the great-grandmother to Gwen, Willa, Tate and Emmit Bahlau of Reston, VA. She was predeceased by her sisters Ruth Spafford of Wakefield and Barbara Beaulieu of California.
Service Information: A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 11a.m. in the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt. 129), Lynn. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting Hours will be on Wednesday from 9-11a.m., prior to the Funeral Service.
