Patricia "Pat" McMenamy, 79, a resident of Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Boone Hospital Center.
Pat was born on March 5, 1946, in Cottleville, Missouri, the daughter of Alfred Gregory Dickherber and Helen Elizabeth (Ereiser) Dickherber. On December 28, 1966, in Cottleville, Missouri she was united in marriage to James "Jim" McMenamy, and he survives.
Pat was a fantastic quilter; she began quilting at the age of five with her mother and the church ladies. Over the years she made many beautiful quilts for her family and friends. Pat loved cooking for her family and friends, always cherishing every moment that was shared around the kitchen table. She was always up for playing games with her friends and family. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she made sure that her decorations and food were perfect for her family.
In addition to her husband of over 58 years, she is sadly missed and forever remembered by six children, Nicole McMenamy of Colorado, Jamie (McMenamy) Miller and husband Terry of Springfield, Scott McMenamy and wife Melissa of Columbia, Todd McMenamy of St. Louis, Eron McMenamy of Columbia, Gayle McMenamy of Chicago, IL; nine grandchildren, Evan Miller, Zachary Miller, Haley Thoma Wolf, Emma Miller, Emmett McMenamy, Zebedee McMenamy, Maizie McMenamy, Lucia Esparza, Matthias Esparza; three great grandchildren, McKenzie Miller, Ruby Wolf, and Kane Wolf; one sister, Betty Jean Dickherber of Columbia.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; seven siblings, Harold Dickherber, Ruth Ann Dickherber, Margie Wolf, Donald Dickherber, Rosemary Brown, Joan Schwendeman, David Dickherber, and Kenny Brugmann.
