Patricia Ann Ostroski, age 62, of Sterling, Michigan, affectionately known as "Patsy" to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025. She was born to Joseph and Eleanor Ostroski on July 3, 1963, in West Branch, Michigan.
Patsy's journey through life was met with challenges. Shortly after birth, she contracted meningitis and lived with profound disabilities, yet she still could find enjoyment in many simple things. Her favorite pastimes included rocking in her recliner, being outdoors, going for walks in her wheelchair, car rides and she most particularly enjoyed music and a variety of foods.
Patsy is survived by 10 siblings, which include Perry (Joyce) Ostroski, Nick (Culleen) Ostroski, Linda Lawton, Tim (Teresa) Ostroski, Judith (Andrew) Radatz, Laura (Doug) Hanchett, Nancy (Mitchell) Deshais, Donald (Vicki) Ostroski, Joseph Ostroski Jr., and Christine (Patrick) Kennedy, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother.
Although Patsy never uttered a word in her life, she spoke lessons we can learn from, that it's possible to find joy even in the face of challenges and that even though there are bad days, there will always be good days as well.
Patsy will be dearly missed by all whose hearts were captured by her.
The family of Patricia would also like to express their deep appreciation to her "extended family" at Elm Home in Standish, where Patsy lived for the past 13+ years. Thank you all for caring for Patsy and loving her. Your compassion and kindness made her journey bright and will be remembered always with gratitude.
A private celebration will be held honoring Patsy's life.
