Patricia Mitchell Owler, 86, of North Haven, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, January 9th, 2025, at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford, after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of 58 years to the late George J. Owler. Patricia was born in New Haven on December 26, 1938, and was the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Genevieve Kelly Mitchell. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for Kelleher & Company for many years until her retirement. Patricia was a lifelong parishioner of St. Frances Cabrini Church and a huge UCONN women's basketball and Fighting Irish Football fan. She started everyday doing a crossword puzzle, enjoyed going to the casino, taking family trips and was a "Master Pie Maker". Patricia taught her whole family how to do the dances of the '50s and '60s and enjoyed doing the "Irish Jig". Loving mother of Kathleen Owler, James (Janet) Owler and Deborah (Richard) McCarthy. Doting grandmother to the "apples of her eye", Emma Owler and Griffin McCarthy. Sister of William (Eleanor) Mitchell, Regina (Robert) Vitelli and the late Thomas P. (Kathleen) Mitchell. Sister-in-law of Mary Lau. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The visiting hours will be on Monday, January 13th, from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Avenue, North Haven, on Tuesday morning, January 14th, at 11:00 AM.
