Patricia A. ”Patsy” Lane

Patricia A. "Patsy" Lane, age 82 of L'Anse, MI passed away at her home on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 with her loving family by her side. She was born in L'Anse on January 10, 1941 the daughter of the late J. Oliver and Nettie (Bye) Paquette. Patsy graduated from L'Anse High School. She married the love of her life, Dennis Lane on September 9, 1960 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, L'Anse. They were happily married for 47 years until Dennis passed away on July 3, 2008. Patsy had been employed at the former Radio Shack in L'Anse as a sales clerk. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and had been a member of the Baraga County Cribbage League. Patsy enjoyed playing cards including pinochle and cribbage, walking her dogs Saucy and Mindy, going on casino trips, and attending her grandchildren's sporting events.
Patsy is survived by her loving children Robert "Bob" (Lisa) Lane of L'Anse, David "Dave" Lane of L'Anse, Denise (Troy) Whitlow of L'Anse, and Virginia "Gin" Lane (Todd Topash) of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, grandchildren Amanda, Jessica, Timmer, Jessica, Lacey, McKenna, Tanner, Holly, Daniel, Trey, and Selina, great grandchildren Cole, Jaylyn, Jaycee, Billy, Jennike, Isaiah, Franki Jade, Lexton, Brezen, Lincoln, Bridger, and Adley, and a great-great grandchild on the way. She is also survived by numerous nieces, and nephews. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, twin children, her husband, daughter-in law Michele Lane, brothers Kenneth, LeRoy and Ralph Paquette, sisters Beatrice Sundquist, Alice Tangen, and Virginia Penokie.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, L'Anse with a funeral mass held at 11 a.m. with Father Corey Litzner officiating. Immediately following mass, the family invites friends to join them for fellowship and a luncheon in the church hall.
Graveside services and interment will take place in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery.
