ASHEVILLE – Patricia “Patsy” Ann Rathbone Wolfe, age 77, left this world on December 5, 2025, and is living in the presence of Jesus, where she is experiencing divine peace.
Patricia was born on October 8,1948, was raised in Yancey County and lived in Buncombe County most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Ivon “Pud” Rathbone and the late Ann Smith McIntosh. She worked at Tandy, RCA, and Norton Manufacturing, where she was a diamond setter. Patricia was a loving mother and devoted wife. She showed her love by baking delicious cakes as gifts for her loved ones. She was a fervent Prayer Warrior for her family and friends, the lost, lonely, and those who did not wish to receive Christ as their Savior. She loved serving the Lord by working in AWANA (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed – 2 Timothy 2:15) and being a part of Judgement House. She was a member of Oteen Baptist Church.
Surviving is her husband, Alan “Lee” Wolfe; daughters, Sherry Barrett (Mike) of Asheville, Tanya Yates (Jerry) of Fairview; son, David Wright (Tina) of Virginia; sisters, Margaret Fowler, and Brenda Green; grandchildren, Chrisna Barrett, Angelica Phillips (Cody), Diana Barrett, Justin Yates (Michaela), Samantha Satterfield (Allie), Caitlyn Satchell, and Cameron Yates (Madisyn); and great grandchildren, Brayden, Joseph, Brantley, Daphne, Eliza, Finleigh, Remi, and Blu.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 9, 2025, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverend James Gass officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Eddie McMahan Cemetery in Low Gap/Burnsville.

Patricia’s family would like to thank the staff at StoneCreek Health and Rehabilitation for the compassion they showed Patricia. A special thank you to those who showed her extra love and support, Missy, Dakota, Tad, Antoinette, Candy, Michaela, and Hali. The family also wishes to thank Medi-Home Hospice for their care and support, especially Nichole, Wende, Kimmy, and Greg. Your visits, banter, and sing-a-longs were the highlight of her last weeks.
