Patricia Pullan, 87, born June 6, 1924 in New Jersey passed Jan 4, 2012 after a long illness. She was the daughter of late Harold Proctor & Mary Kate Varner Proctor of West Point, Ga. and Groton Long Point, Ct. Her 5 children were at her side when she passed.
Her husband George Pullan, 91, born July 31, 1920 in New Jersey passed Jan 11, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the son of late Walter R. Pullan & Sara Pullan of Clifton, NJ and Northern Ireland. His 5 children were at his side when he passed.
Patricia was born and raised in Glen Ridge, NJ and schooled at Southern Seminary in Virginia. Her youth summers were spent in West Point, Ga visiting her late grandmother Jimmie Leila Varner and dozens of family members and at the family summer shore home in Groton Long Point, Ct. She and George were married 3/22/1947 and moved to Wheaton, IL (21 years), Wellesley, Ma (10 years), West Point, Ga.(23 years) and Gainesville, Ga(10 years). She was a very happy woman who loved bridge, golf, garden clubs, her family and most of all George.
George was born and raised in Clifton, NJ and schooled at Rutgers University where he was President of the Men's Glee Club. His family summered at Rye Beach, NH. He joined Wellington Sears/West Point Pepperell in 1947 and retired in 1984 as Director of Marketing. He founded Point Industries and ran this business for 20 years. He was a happy man who loved music, golf, his friends, family and most all Pat.
They are survived by 5 children Bob (Mary Sue), John (Lynn), Reed, Gail, Lin (Rich) 4 grandchildren & 2 great granddaughters. Patricia's brother Tom (Jean) Proctor and her sister Jean Mulligan survive her. George's sister Sally Scanlon survives him. A joint memorial service was held 1/28/2012 with 200 attending.
