Patricia “Patsy “Crain Raley, lifelong resident of Madisonville, TX, and mother of Michael William Raley, passed peacefully on May 25,2024 from her earthly home into the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. Walton and Patsy had one son, Michael, born in 1965.
Patsy participated in her local church and Sunday school class until health concerns prohibited. Patsy’s earlier interests included bowling with her friends, fishing with her father and her son, and rooting tirelessly for the Dallas Cowboys. Patsy’s most recent interest involved building unique birdhouses for sale in her community and across multiple counties. Her birdhouse themes included Dallas Cowboys, Whataburger, Seasonal Holidays, Fishing Cabins, Churches, and specially curated birdhouses by request. Patsy loved her craft beyond measure.
Patsy was predeceased by her beloved father and mother, Johnnie and Marie Crain and her spouse, Walton Sherwood Raley. She is survived by her cherished son, Michael William Raley and his wife, Diana; her grandchildren and their spouses, Leanne Raley (Joe Pena), Erin Raley (Andrew Sailor), Joel Paulson (You Peng), and Katie Raley, and seven great-grandchildren. Special and heartfelt thanks go out to Voyce Parks and Pat Allen, who remained Patsy’s dear friends through life and Shannon Tate and Halie Durdin, who were Patsy’s in-home caregivers for eleven years. Patsy loved all of you so much!
