Patricia Marie "Patsi" Reali, age 90 of Maple Grove, MN passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025.
Patsi was born September 13, 1935 in Eau Claire, WI to Veronica Oien, whose husband Arthur Oien, Patsi's father, had died earlier that year on March 4. She grew up in Eau Claire and married her high school sweetheart, Roger Reali on January 28, 1956. The couple lived in many cities as Roger's career progressed, including Fort Smith, AK, Sioux Falls, SD, and Colorado Springs, CO. They eventually settled in St. Cloud, MN where they raised three daughters; Kris, Kathryn, and Anne.
In the early years, Patsi worked as an X-Ray Technician in Eau Claire and Arkansas for a few years until she began devoting all of her time to her three daughters, creating "home" everywhere they went. Never wanting to be idle, in her empty nest years, Patsi took on many new challenges. Her tenacity and genuine understanding of people eventually earned her a role as the manager of a large hotel in downtown Minneapolis.
Patsi and Roger retired to a house on Briggs Lake close to where they raised their family in St. Cloud, and spent many winters in Naples, FL. Their family grew with the addition of sons-in-law, four grandchildren, pet yorkies Rose, followed later by Bambi, and eventually, two great grandchildren, with Patsi recently learning that a third is on the way. She cherished them all, creating special memories with each one. Her daughters considered her a great friend. They created infinite memories including the many traditional girls' weekends filled with endless laughs. Always fashion forward and young at heart, Patsi was fun, witty, smart, perceptive, creative and well-spoken and was a revered and respected mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, wife and friend. Patsi will be remembered by her family in her signature round glasses welcoming us all to the many family gatherings she planned and hosted. She was, and will always remain, the heart of the family.
Patsi is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years Roger; her parents; step-father Arnold Bauch; sisters Jeannine (Sherwood) Stolp and Beverly (Thomas) Hofmann; and close friend David Johnson. She will remain in the hearts of her daughters Kris (Peter) Harrington, Kathryn (Daryl Gemar) Reali, Anne (Joe Garner) Reali; grandchildren Ali (Zach Jung) Gemar, Amanda (Jake Rogers) Gemar, Ted (Madie) Harrington, Dan Harrington; great grandchildren Evelyn Rogers and Lucy Jung; and close friend Shawn Kinniry.
A joint Celebration of Life for Patricia and Roger, who passed away February 6, 2025, will be held in the spring on May 1, 2026. Memorials preferred to Breakthrough T1D.
The Reali family would like to give a sincere thank you to all the employees at Brookdale North Oaks for their genuine care and support for Patsi.
