Patricia Ann Reid

Pat Reid was a long-time resident of Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree, California. Mom and Dad loved the desert. They chose desert life when Dad retired. They lived in Joshua Tree but also tried life in Arizona for a while then came back to Yucca Valley, California as their final destination. They lead a full life raising four kids (two girls, two boys) and kept the young family busy on the weekends with desert bike racing, desert camping, boating, fishing, stock car racing, flying airplanes (Dad had a small aircraft license). They also liked to entertain friends and family with a potluck and card games.

Dad passed away in year 2014. Mom learned to navigate through her new life without Dad. She did not drive, so she found ways to stay busy at home. She loved nourishing her potted plants and loved cooking. She also learned how to operate a computer and start her new relationship with Facebook and Amazon. Oh yes, Amazon was her best friend! Receiving daily packages was something quite exciting for a lady that could not drive. Mom enjoyed old black & white western movies the most.

Mom received visits from most all family members and she enjoyed that very much. Thank you to all that spent some time with her after Dad passed.
