Patricia “Pat” Riggs, 75, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, at Baptist East Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, including her devoted husband of 45 years, Kenny Riggs.
Known affectionately as Pat, Patsy Ann, and Aunt Pat, she was a cherished wife, sister, aunt, and friend whose loving spirit, warm humor, and unforgettable giggle touched every life she encountered.
Pat retired from Bell South Phone Company and shared her many talents with the world. She was a gifted seamstress with an impeccable sense of fashion, an excellent cook, a passionate gardener, and a loving “mom” to many fur babies over the years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Mae Hallum; her brother, Garry Lee Hallum; and her grandparents, Claude and “Granny” Hettie Butler.
Left to honor her memory are her husband, Kenny Riggs; brothers, Richard Hallum and Wayne Hallum; sisters-in-love, Debi Hallum and Rita Hallum; son, Corey Riggs (Judy); nieces, Christy Flatley and Karey Tate (Terry); nephews, David Hallum (Lauren), Jonathan Hallum (Marychu), great-nieces, Bella, Brighton, Peyton, Izabel, Audrey (Hallum), great-nephews, Chase Flatley, Kole Flanagan and Kyle Tate; great-great niece Alice Flatley; cousin, Terry Hallum (Diane); her loving friend, Elaine Triplett; and numerous other cherished friends.
Although she will be deeply missed until we join her in heaven, we find comfort in knowing that she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. We hold close the vision of Him and her loved ones welcoming her home, and we are grateful that she is now free from physical pain.
We love you, Pat, and will forever carry you in our hearts.
