Robinson, Patricia "Pat"
passed away of natural causes on Oct 10, 2025. She was 83 years old. Pat was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1942. Her father served in the Army Air Corps (later the Air Force), and the family moved numerous times around the country during her childhood. Pat graduated from St. Vincent Academy in Shreveport, Louisiana, and then entered the convent with the Daughters of the Cross, a mission from France. After faithfully serving as a nun for six years, she left the convent and returned to college at Northwestern College in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
In her senior year, Pat met her husband, Al Robinson, on a blind date. Shortly after they met, Al left for Vietnam to serve in the Army, and Pat began teaching during the integration of Louisiana's public schools. While Al was overseas, Pat wrote him 365 letters-one for every day he was gone-and when he returned, they married six months later. Pat and Al shared a lifetime of adventure. Al later became an FBI agent, and together they lived in numerous places across the country. Along the way, they owned a farm in Forsyth County, Georgia, a mini ranch in Round Rock, Texas, and several other homes filled with love and laughter. Pat loved country life. She tended to the farm animals, garden, and orchard with care and joy. A devoted mother, she was always there to cheer for her son Paul whether it was a soccer game or one of his many racing events across the country.
Like her husband, Pat was active in the arts. She was a founding member of the Forsyth County Little Theater in Georgia, where she both acted in and directed several plays. After moving to Florida, she continued her passion for performing, appearing in several productions in the Tampa area. Pat also had a deep love for the beach. She found peace and happiness in the sound of the waves and the warmth of the sun. One of her greatest joys was her annual trip to Longboat Key with her dear friends - a cherished tradition filled with laughter, sunsets and treasured memories that lasted a lifetime. She was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, and friend whose warmth, wit and kindness touched everyone she met. Pat loved to entertain, welcome others into her home and share stories and smiles that made everyone feel like family.
Pat was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Buchanan; mother, Linda Buchanan; and sister, Barbara Shillcutt. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Al Robinson; son, Paul Robinson, of Arizona; nieces, Kim Harris, Becky Laborde, and Deborah Sauseda; along with a multitude of loving family members, great-nieces, great-nephews, and dear friends.
Honorary Pallbearers are The Key-Keys. A celebration of Pat's life will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, November 8, at the East Lake United Methodist Church located at 2801 East Lake Road in Palm Harbor Florida. A reception will follow at the church.
