She was born April 4, 1938 in Winburne to the late Francis Paul and Irene Edetta (Hewitt) Triponey. She married Joseph A. Rougeux of Frenchville, on Dec. 1, 1956, in St. Agnes Catholic Church in Morrisdale.

Pat belonged to SS. Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church in Punxsutawney since 1958, where she served as Eucharistic Minister, Parish collection counter and Sanctuary cleaner. Pat was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. Rita #353, serving over the years as Recording Secretary and as Financial Secretary. She was a member of the Mahoning Valley Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 2076 since 2006 and served as secretary to that organization also. Pat, along with her husband Joe and her brother Gerald Triponey, was a founding member of the Jefferson County Veterans Honor Guard and served as secretary for that group since its inception in 2004.

Pat was captain and/or co-captain of the Rougeux Family's Jefferson County Relay For Life Team since 2005, which helped raise money for National Cancer Society-sponsored cancer research. She was an active American Red Cross volunteer and coordinated the blood donation drives held at Mahoning Valley VFW Post 2076 in Punxsutawney.

Pat was recognized for her many volunteer civic activities by the Punxsutawney Career Women's Club by being named as one of honorees during their 2017 Career Women's Week. She was also selected as the 2018 Punxsutawney Woman of the Year.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband Joe; her sister, Marian Little; brother, Donald C. Triponey; son-in-law, Edward L. Mittchell; and grandson, Brian J. Rougeux.

I was so saddened by Pat's passing. She was such a blessing as a friend. She gave the best hugs with meaning in every one. A true giver to her family, friends and the church and community. A wonderful supporter of the military veterans. She will be forever loved and missed. Joan Rolls
