Newcomer Funeral Home - West Metro ChapelPatricia Jean Sandoval passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 17, 2025. She was born in Denver, Colorado on September 9, 1940, to Albert and Mary Davalos. Patricia is predeceased by her parents, brothers Richard and Narcisco, sister Rose, ex-husband Frank and boyfriend Henry.
Patricia’s career with Denver Public School included assignments at Lincoln Elementary, Kepner Junior High, Abraham Lincoln and West high schools and DPS Administration. She also served as an administrative assistant to the Director of Religious Education at All Saints Catholic Church. She served as a eucharistic minister and religious education and Sunday School teacher for All Saints and St. Anthony of Padua churches.
She also served as a member of the American GI Forum Skyline Chapter, chairperson of the Skyline Women’s Membership and Fundraising Committees. Patricia was also a member of the Denver Association of Educational Office Personnel Member Programs and donated her time to the election campaigns for Rich Castro, State Representative and Don Sandoval for Senate.
She loved to watch movies, and her favorites were musicals and romance as well as older black and white movies from the 1940’s. Some of her other hobbies were sewing, gardening, listening to music and dancing. Her love of animals, cats in particular, meant that she always had a cat or dog in her life.
Patricia is survived by her sister Norma, daughters Debbie and Cyndi, son John, grandchildren Nicholas, Joseph, Rose, Caitlin, Chloe, great-grand daughter Elaina as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
The family wishes to extend a thank you to Elevation Hospice for their compassionate support for their mother Patricia.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Humane Colorado in Patricia’s name.
