Patricia Scott

Patricia Ann Scott, 80, of Columbia, Maryland and formerly of Westminster, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at her home. Born July 26, 1945 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Gerald Samuel and Goldie Hare Spoonire. She was the beloved wife of 52 years to Abron Scott, whom she married on July 24, 1981. She received her education through the Carroll County Public School system. Her goal was to always go back to school to obtain her high school diploma. She accomplished this goal and received her High School Diploma on February 2, 1985. She dedicated 36 years of her life to her work as a housekeeper at Springfield State Hospital, retiring on October 31, 2013. In her free time, Patricia liked reading, watching soap operas, listening to music and drawing, and she never turned down a good game of cards or a challenging crossword puzzle. She loved the beach, especially Virginia Beach, where she enjoyed swimming and soaking up the sun. Patricia delighted in finding hidden treasures at yard sales and flea markets, and she cherished simple pleasures like fishing, camping and family picnics in the park. She will be deeply missed by many. Two families were lovingly joined together thru the marriage of Abron and Patricia. She is survived by her beloved children Bernard H. McAllister, Jr. and wife Lisa, Michele M. Peele and husband Ronald. She is also survived by Abron's children Andrea Scott, Troy Scott and wife Pam, Martha Harry and husband Ronald, Francine Scott, Phyllis Commodore, Abron Scott, Jr., numerous beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings Esther Reeder and husband Harold, Bill Hare and wife Barbara, Phyllis Spoonire Kline; sister-in-law Patricia Spoonire; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by siblings Archie Spoonire, Sr. and Elmer W. Spoonire. The family will welcome friends on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, MD. Homegoing services will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2025 at 11am at the funeral home. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed.
