Patricia (Skipper) Mitchem Obituary
Memorial service for Patricia Ann (Skipper) Mitchem, 87, of Cleburne will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 29, 2024, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel with Chaplain Eddy Carrell officiating.
Patricia passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024, in Burleson. She was born August 27, 1936, in Atmore, Alabama to W.J. and Mamie (Oliver) Skipper. She was of the Methodist faith. Patricia was married to Arlington Mitchem for 40 years. She worked in Production at a garment factory. Patricia had a deep love for flowers and creating afghan blankets. She enjoyed going fishing and was an excellent cook. She also loved to dance. Patricia was an incredibly loving wife and mother. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Survivors include her children, James Floyd Hobbs, Jr., of Carrolton, Georgia, and Rebecca Ann Lynch of Cleburne, Texas; stepson, Robert Arlington Mitchem of Detroit, Michigan; grandchildren, Brandy Maxwell, Joseph Lynch, Berney Mitchem, and Clay Mitchem; 9 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, W.J. Skipper and Mamie Skipper-Lowrey; husband, Arlington Mitchem; and grandson, Chris Hobbs.
