Just thought I'd add another message. I grew up a few houses away from Pat. She was always such a nice person, friendly and caring. When she and Paul started dating, we knew it was for sure - they were meant for each other. I now live in NW Chicago area (50 miles away in Huntley). I try to visit Brooklyn when possible and seek out my former classmates, including Paul and, then, Pat. My last trip was last Sept 2011, and saw Paul and many others. Pat was a "best friend" in every sense, and I know Paul (and I) miss her.

Paul and Family:
We express our deepest sympathy to all of you on the loss of beloved Pat. I (John) grew up knowing both Pat and Paul at Brooklyn and knew them as the best couple around. We met them several times after graduation and have the fondest of memories. Pat will be missed by all who knew her. Our love and prayers to you and your families, John & Mary Paule Bierlein (Huntley, IL)
