Patricia Rose Sousa

After a long battle with illness Patricia, Patsy to those who knew and loved her, passed away peacefully in her sleep the morning of December 22, 2021. Patsy will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Patsy was a wonderful musician playing the piano, organ and the accordion and brought music and laughter to countless family gatherings and events. Even in her declining years it was amazing to watch her sit down at a piano and play music from memory or by ear. Patsy was one of the most caring and giving people you would ever meet and was always there to lend a hand to family or friends. Before her hospitalization, she spent many hours with her grandchildren where they would play various games and enjoy spending time together. Staying over at Grandma's was always a treat for her grandchildren, and if the kids started acting up, she would tell them that they needed to "shape up or ship out" followed by a quick laugh. Growing up all of her children's friends simply called her "Mom". Patsy's impact on the lives of those around her are too great to list and she will always be remembered as a kind and loving person. Patricia is survived by her children, Walter, Mary, and Ken (Christy), grandchildren Matthew (Stephanie), Todd, David, Alyssa, Tiffany, Heather (Bryan), Russell (Olivia), AnnaMarie, numerous Great Grandchildren, and by siblings Theresa, Jim, and Rosemary.
