Patricia A. Staley

Patricia A. Staley, 90, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Mercy Health – St. Charles Hospital. She was born on March 5, 1935, to Mary Trent and Calvin Lawson in Jacksonville, Illinois.

She was a graduate of Woodward High School. Pat worked as a cashier at Joseph's Supermarket for 15 years. On December 1, 1954, she married the love of her life, Grant Staley. Pat was a lifetime member of the Northwood VFW Auxiliary Post 2984, a volunteer at the Experimental Aircraft Association Post 582, and served on the board of directors for the East Toledo Senior Center. She was a faithful member of Unity of Toledo Spiritual Center. In Pat's free time she enjoyed reading, dancing and activities with her girlfriends.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Eunice (Claude) Wilson; great-grandchildren, Kristin (Tony) Martin, Brian Martin Jr., and Kayla O'Dea; special niece, Dawn Harmon; nieces and nephews, John Stover, Jill Deneau, Kathie Stover-Reece, Jim Stover, Patrick Stover; and good friend, Renee.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Grant Staley; granddaughter, Kyra Clark; great-grandson, Timothy Martin; brothers, John Stover and James Stover; infant brother, David Stover; and niece, Susan Stover.

The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., in the funeral home, with an additional hour of visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at North Oregon Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Pat's name are asked to consider the Northwood VFW Post 2984.

To the family of Pat my deepest condolences I had work out in the deli for 16 years and had developed a wonderful friendship with her . She wa quite the pip , always smiling & quick with the wit ! I'm blessed to of known her !

I knew your Mother for many yrs. from bingo
at St. Michaels. Also used to call her many
times, and also at the casino. Sorry to hear
of her passing. She was always smiling, and
a friend to all.

A Window to the past and a collection of family stories that could come from no one else. This is how I remember Pat. She was an extraordinary lady in life. There are no words to express how sorry I am for your loss. My thoughts are with you Eunice & Kristin Bubba & Kayla and the rest of the family.
