Patricia June (Soladine) Stout, age 86, of Freetown, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Covered Bridge Health Campus, Seymour, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Stout was a member of Ratcliff Grove Christian Church.
Patricia excelled as a homemaker and was a devoted, compassionate caregiver.
Patricia loved her family dearly and took great joy in raising her children and helping to raise her grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and shared her compassion as a caregiver to many family members and friends. She also loved sewing, crocheting, and working crossword puzzles. Patricia's cheerful spirit and infectious smile touched everyone around her.
Born on January 17, 1939, in Freetown, Patricia was the daughter of Mancil and Anne (Lambert) Soladine, both of whom preceded her in death. On December 22, 1956, in Brownstown, she married Morris Stout, Jr., and he preceded her in death on August 15, 2011.
Survivors include five sons: James (Patty) Stout of Freetown, Otis (Rotha) Stout of Seymour, Brian (Zylphia) Stout of Freetown, Todd (Michelle) Stout of Medora, and Jeremy (Charity) Stout of Brownstown; one daughter, Joyce Vogel of Seymour; one sister, Brenda Soladine (Larry) O'Sullivan; 12 grandchildren: Aimee (Phillip) Rigsby, Nathan (Julinda) Stout, Christopher (Sasha) Stout, Jodi (Matt) Roberts, Mallorie (Anthony) Woodard, Marcia (Josh) Spivey, Tyler Stout, Montana Stout, Santana (Ian) Walls, Breanna Stout (fiance Nathan Colee), Matthew Vogel, and Jennifer Vogel; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Mrs. Stout was also preceded in death by one son, Robert (Sheila) Stout; two grandsons: Colten Stout and Jim Vogel; son-in-law, John Vogel; and her siblings: sister, Audrey (Charles) Norman, sister, JoAnn (Bill) Leslie, brother, "Sonny" William Lowell (Judy) Soladine, and brother, Jerry Soladine.
Funeral services for Patricia June (Soladine) Stout will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Pastor Matt Roberts officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc.
Interment will follow at Smallwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Don & Dana Myers Cancer Center or the
American Heart Association.
