Patricia M. Taylor, 85, of Monmouth, IL, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at her home.
Pat was born on April 15, 1940, in Iowa City, IA the daughter of Vernon E. and Aletha D. (Greer) Cottrell. She was raised and educated in Iowa.
She married Lawrence N. Taylor on November 10, 1980, and he passed away on July 23, 2024.
Pat was a long-time cook for Wildlife Prairie Park in Peoria, IL. She also worked and managed the KFC in Galesburg, Il where she was awarded the “White Glove Award” for store cleanliness. She was of the Southern Baptist faith. Pat enjoyed sewing, quilting, fishing and cooking.
Survivors include her children, Laverne Christner, Kellie Jo Whitham and Calvin E. (Cynthia) Coon; her stepchildren; Patty (Rod) Fox, Lawrence N. (Cheryl) Taylor, Jr., Carol M. Taylor, LeRoy Taylor, and Lawrence O. Taylor; twenty-five grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren; her sister, Linda Quinn, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, daughters, Susan Pohren and Aletha Cramer; her son, Dale Christner; grandson, Shawn Coon; stepson, Greg Taylor; 3 sister and 4 brothers.
Cremation has been accorded with no services planned at this time. A private family interment will take place at Maquon Cemetery, Maquon, IL.
