Patricia (Martin) Uhrick, born September 18,1944 in Altamont, Kansas, died May 24, 2023. Pat was active in Clintonville Womens Club, United Methodist Women, and Maple Grove United Church. She enjoyed doing various crafts, especially sewing quilts. Pat started a quilting group with other women at Maple Grove where they made lap quilts for Alzheimer’s patients.

Pat was part of the leadership team who created Summer Bible Day Camp. School aged children experienced fellowship, song, laughter and Bible teachings among the beauty of God’s creation. Hundreds of children were blessed by this ministry.

At Clintonville Womens Club, Pat served a term as President of the club and on the Board of Trustees. She was a member of the hand crafts club and took several trips with the Vagabonds group.

Pat grew up on a farm in Kansas with her four sisters and one brother. She kept the values of caring for her neighbors and passed them on to her children. She didn’t look for the limelight, but preferred to stay behind the scenes.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Orval Martin and Mary Ellen Bendure, one brother (Larry Martin), two sisters (Shirley Ungles and Margaret Birchfield), two nephews, two nieces and one great nephew, Pat is survived by her husband of 57 years, David, children Rich (Lisa) Uhrick of Columbus  and Janet (John) Thode of Westerville, her grandchildren Chris Thode of Louisville KY, and Michael and Emma Uhrick of Columbus. She will be greatly missed by her sisters, Virginia Ness of Oklahoma and Cherry (Mike) Forkner of Texas and her many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive visitors Thursday, June 1, 2:00p-4:00p, and 6:00p-8:00p, at Shaw-Davis Clintonville, (4341 North High Street, Columbus). Her service will be Saturday, June 3, at 9:30a at Maple Grove United Methodist (7 W. Henderson Road, Columbus). Following the service there will be a private interment service.
