Patricia Valadez

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Valadez, age 42, a resident of Las Vegas, NM, on Thursday, January 3, 2024.
She was born in Las Vegas, NM to the late Marie Valadez on April 13, 1981.
Patricia was the light of every room that she stepped into. She had a passion for just about everything and her biggest one was Sports! She loved cheering for her nephews who play for her favorite team the DONS. She played sports herself as she was a member of the Special Olympics. She brought home numerous Medals and Ribbons from Basketball, Track, Softball, Bowling, and Volleyball! She loved Dancing, Shopping, collecting Pens and key chains, going to the movies and having Ice cream socials with her friends and staff at Family Options. She lived her best life doing everything she loved! Patricia is a true Angel where she will now rest forever with her Mom Marie whom she loved and missed dearly.
Patricia is preceded in death by her mother Marie Valadez, Special Cousin; Gloria H. Marquez, Theodore Marquez; Godmother; Juanita Lucero, Grandpa; Max Alirez, Cousins; Barbara Vigil, Chon and Carlos Martinez.
She is survived by her Grandmother; Mary Alirez, Brother; Leonard Marquez (Peggy) of Las Vegas, NM; Sisters; Melissa Gonzales (Joshua) of Sena, NM, Jessica Sanchez (Johnny) of Ribera, NM, Nieces; Francesca (Jacob), Mikaela and Danielle; Nephews; Joshua Cane (Britney), Dominic (Aisha), Devin (Alexandria), Joshua (Misty), Joaquin, Lorenzo, Jonathon and Isaiah; Great Nieces; Emery Marquez and Jaylee Sanchez; Great Nephew; Christian Marquez; Aunties; Sylvia (Philip) of Albuquerque, NM, Teresa Barela of Las Vegas, NM, Isabel Lucero (Eppie) of Las Vegas, NM, Uncles; Chuck Martinez of Las Vegas, NM, Willie Gomez (Carmen) of Las Vegas, NM.
Rosary will be recited on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with Fr. Rob Yaksich as celebrant.
Interment will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery with the following serving as Urn bearers; Leonard Marquez, Joshua Gonzales, and Jonathon Gonzales. Honorary Urn bearers; Her remaining nieces and nephews.
