Patricia "Pat" Anne Vaughan, 79, of Sheppard, Texas, passed away on October 31, 2025. Pat was born on April 23, 1946, to Anna Pearl Adams and Auroa Hefton Cross, both of whom preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Patty, whose memory she carried close to her heart throughout her life. Pat is survived by her life partner, Mary Jane Kelsey, who remained a steady companion and support, along with her 2 Daughters and 6 grandchildren who adored her deeply and will forever carry her memory.

For over 40 years, Pat dedicated her life to caregiving-both professionally and personally. She was the person everyone called when they needed anything, and she never hesitated to show up with an open heart, and helping hands. Pat was known for giving the shirt off her back, offering whatever she had to whoever needed it. Her generosity, strength, lively personality and unwavering compassion defined her life and the love she shared with others.

Pat loved baking, knitting, and took delight in painting frogs and butterfly yard decorations with her nail polish, and proudly wore her pink hair-expressions of the vibrant and creative personality that made her larger than life. She was also known for her famous pound cake, a treat eagerly requested by many and cherished by all who had the joy of tasting it.

Her warmth, humor, and unmistakable presence will be dearly missed.
