Patricia Rivers Walker

Patricia Rivers Walker, 88, of Hampton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 22, 2025.

Patricia was born and raised in Hampton, daughter of Dempsey and Bernice Rivers.

She met Fred, her husband of 61 years, when they both worked for Southern States. They raised 3 children in her hometown. Once she had grandchildren, she retired from J&J Machine Shop so that she could spend more time with them. She also worked for Symcor for another 10 years before retiring again in 2019. She was a very dedicated worker and loved her jobs.

However, her family was her pride and joy. Every Sunday, she made sure her kids were at Liberty Hill Baptist and then the afternoon was spent at her parent's home with her 6 siblings, their grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family was everything to Patricia.

She attended Liberty Hill Baptist Church for over 70 years and loved her Sunday school class, The Willing Workers.

We know that she is rejoicing today in the presence of Jesus, along with her parents, siblings and in-laws. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Campbell Walker, her son, Terry Rodgers Walker and granddaughter Caroline Lynn Walker.

She left behind so many who loved her including her children, Todd & Sonya Walker and Traci Walker & Kip Trace. She also leaves the real loves of her life, her grandchildren: Katherine Walker, Elizabeth Walker, Emma Coleman, Skylar Walker and Aubrey Walker. She was blessed with a wonderful sister in law, Gayle Milam. The Parker family was so special to both she and Fred. She will be missed by the extended Rivers and Walker families.

The family would like to thank Paulette Raper for caring for our Mom for the past 3 years & Debbie Lowe for the last 8 months. We are so grateful for the way you both loved and cared for Mom. Southern Grace Hospice also cared for Mom in the last weeks and we received the best care from their team.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 30th at 2:00 pm at Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Hampton. The funeral service will be held immediately following at 3:00 pm with internment after. Pastor Steve Foster is officiating.

Liberty Hill Baptist Church is located at 2957 Mount Carmel Road in Hampton.
