Patricia Ann (Bare) Ward 01/ 09/1937 - 04/30/2023. Pat was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Viola (Reed) Bare,her brothers Calvin (Buddy) and Gene Bare and her sister Judy Belcher. Her beloved son Andrew (Andy) Ward also preceded her in death.
Pat was the third born child to Donald and Viola and their first daughter. She enjoyed a happy childhood and helped her mother with her younger siblings. Just out of high school she met the love of her life Clyde Ward. She said once she saw him, she was smitten. They married and had two daughters, Lynn and Pam, and a son Dennis as they traveled the USA and Germany as Clyde was in the US Army. Once Clyde retired, they were blessed with another son Andrew (Andy). Pat was a wonderful wife, mother and sister. She attended and graduated from nursing school. She worked as an LPN for a few years. Pat loved her husband, children and family. She was so loved and will be missed more than words can say.
She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Clyde; her daughters Lynn Good (Beckley), Pamela (Dan)Rhome (Bovard, PA), and her son Dennis (Christina) Ward, (Minford,OH); brothers Donald (Nellie) Bare,( Beckley), Roger (JoAnne) Bare, (OH), John (Dana) Bare (NC) and her sister Melissa (John) Forinash ( Beckley). Her grandchildren Jason Groves, Joshua and Jeremy Good, Eric Rhome, Danielle (Rhome) Zigafoes, Natalie (Ward) Gregory and Nathan Ward. She has 15 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
Services will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2023 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Dewey Lowe officiating. Burial will follow in the Tilden Community Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service.
