Mrs. Patricia Canipe Weathers, age 86 of Shelby, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, C. Wayne Weathers Sr. of the home, her children, Dennis Owensby and wife Beverly of Ellenboro, NC, three stepchildren, Angela Culbertson and husband Michael of Shelby, NC, Dawn Walker and Jody Pilkington of Shelby, NC, and Carl Wayne Weathers Jr. of Shelby, NC, grandchildren, Adam Owensby of Wilmington, NC, and Lucas Owensby of Ellenboro, NC, step grandchildren, Tabitha Rice of TN, Justin Rice of TN, Taylor Whitesides and husband Westley of Chesnee, SC, Mason Walker and wife Madelyn of Cramerton, NC, Miranda Ayers of Shelby, NC, Allie Ayers of Shelby, NC, Devon Triplett and husband Jared of Shelby, NC, and Gunnar Weathers and Gracie Beam of Shelby, NC, 1 great grandchild, 11 step great grandchildren, a brother, Steve Canipe of Shelby, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Born July 14, 1939, in Cleveland County, NC, Patricia was the daughter of the late Avery Canipe Jr. and Geraldine Schwren Canipe and was preceded in death by her 3 grandchildren, Timothy Rice, Samantha Rice, and Brandon Rice, and a brother, Andre Canipe.
Patricia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, playing with her canine companions “Candy and Brandy” and her God dog “Olli”. She also enjoyed cooking and baking and especially spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Sunset Cemetery conducted by Rev. Marcus McGill.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hope Animal Hospital, 1042 Sam Lattimore Rd, Shelby, NC 28152.
