Patricia A. Wilcox

Patricia Ann Wilcox (nee Knowles) "Patty", aged 74, of Corning, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 25, 2024. She was born May 29, 1949 in Corning, NY to Clarence and Dorothy Knowles (nee Finch). Patricia married the love of her life, David Richard Wilcox, on July 28, 1984 in Corning, NY. They were married for 39 wonderful years and would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this July.
Patricia dedicated 36 years of her life as a nurses' aide at Corning Hospital before an injury led her into retirement in 2006.
Patricia's interests extended beyond her career as she enjoyed hobbies such as Plastic Canvas, Arts and Crafts, and Puzzles. Her creativity and attention to detail were evident in these pastimes, reflecting her gentle and meticulous nature.
Patricia will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her husband, David Wilcox, her daughters Wanda Brouneus and Ellen Wilcox, her grandsons DJ Brouneus, Daniel Brouneus, Cody Brouneus, and Nikolas Hazelwood, her great-grandchildren Riot Brouneus and Charlotte Brouneus, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Richard "Dickie," Clark, Robert "Bobby" Andrews, Shirley Fox, Floyd "Skip" Knowles, Clarence Knowles, and Leroy Knowles, and her daughter Beth Ann Knowles.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 East Pulteney Street on Monday, April 29, 2024 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. A graveside service will follow at West Hill Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, Patricia's family request donations be made to assist with final expenses.
