In Loving Memory
Patricia A. Wolever-Lamson
January 7, 1937 - October 12, 2025
NEW HAVEN, NY - Patricia A. Wolever-Lamson, affectionately known to family and friends as "Pat," passed away comfortably and with family on October 12, 2025, in New Haven, New York, at the age of 88.
Born on January 7, 1937, in Oswego, New York, Pat was the daughter of the late Lyle Cole and Esther Robarge. From an early age, she displayed the qualities that would come to define her life-generosity, empathy, and resilience. Pat's vibrant personality shone through in every facet of her life, as she continuously gave of herself to those around her, offering guidance, faith, and unconditional love.
Pat's family was the cornerstone of her life. She is survived by her children Thomas Wolever, Laurie Holley, and David Wolever; her brother William Cole; and many extended family members and close friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. She was predeceased by her beloved husbands, George Wolever and later, Roger Lamson; her devoted parents, Lyle and Esther, and her cherished youngest daughter, Susan Wolever.
Outside of her family, Pat found true joy in life's simple pleasures. She had a lifelong love of music and could often be found singing along to her favorite songs or attending local performances. She was an exceptional cook, known for bringing comfort and nourishment to those lucky enough to gather around her table. A spirited fan of NASCAR and all things sports, Pat found excitement in competition and camaraderie, celebrating both victory and effort in equal measure, her energetic enthusiasm keeping her forever young at heart.
Throughout the joys and challenges of life, Pat found strength and community through her faith. As an active member of the United Baptist Church of Scriba, she gave selflessly of her time and energy, always eager to support those in need and to share in fellowship and prayer. Her belief in compassion and connection reflected the very best of her character, and her church family remembers her for her devotion and quiet acts of service that continue to enrich the many lives she touched.
Though her earthly journey has ended, Pat's warm spirit lives on through those who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a woman who led by example-kind yet strong, steadfast yet open-hearted. Her life was one of love in action-a life that will continue to touch others for generations to come.
As we celebrate the life of Patricia A. Wolever-Lamson, may we find comfort in the words she loved and lived by:
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." – 1 Corinthians 13:4–8.
