Patricia Ann Wolfe was born Patricia Ann Edmonds in Southeast Portland, Oregon, the fifth of six children of Letha and Vern Edmonds.
She graduated from Girls Polytechnic High School in 1952.
In 1953 she married Donald W. Wolfe, who preceded her in death in 2019.
Patricia attended the Apostolic Faith Church, and at age fourteen she gave her life to the Lord and was water-baptized in the Clackamas River. She sang alto in the church choir and was entrusted to manage a benevolent fund for the congregation.
In her teens she worked for Jantzen Knitting Mills. Later she was employed by the Federal Reserve and United Bearing Company. At home she cared for her family, raising seven children and fostering other children before and after school hours. She had an interest in local politics and volunteered during elections. In her forties she established her own business, Custom Draperies by Trish.
Patricia was a wonderful cook, and loved gardening, roses and orchids. She learned sewing at an early age and made her own silk wedding dress. She also knitted, and crocheted quilts, blankets, afghans, and was an avid seamstress, sewing clothing extensively for her family. She enjoyed working with ceramics, candles, resin, and other materials. She enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Japan, several countries in Europe, Spain, Israel, and throughout the United States.
Patricia is survived by five of her seven children: Gary Wolfe, Larry Wolfe, Debra Wolfe, Cheryl Wolfe, and Lori Stuart; by nineteen grandchildren-Alan Lytle, Christy Smith, Vincent Carlson, Dustin Carlson, Kevin Carlson, Ryan Carlson, Clark Wolfe, Betsy Moore, Holly Rieder, Davis Wolfe, Madison Cullen, Makena Merrifield, Shad Downey, Levi Downey, M Downey, Michelle Downey, Kelsey Bowen, Natalie Habicht, and Grant Stuart; and by twenty-five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Karen Edmonds and by five nephews and six nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents Vern and Letha Edmonds; siblings Elaine Wager, Vivian Perkins Rud, Barbara Bowen Reule, Don Edmonds, and Terry Edmonds; her husband Donald Wolfe; her daughters Connie Lytle and Kathy Wolfe Carlson.
Interment will take place at Willamette National Cemetery, 11800 SE Mt. Scott Blvd., Portland, Oregon.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on November 12, 2025 at Abernethy Chapel, 1326 John Adams Street, Oregon City, Oregon 97045. Flowers in memory of Patricia may be sent to the chapel.
