Obituary
With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of Patricia "Pat" Anne Wujcik of Cary. On the morning of August 27, 2023, with her son by her side, Pat took her last breath at the age of 76.
Born in Chicago on March 8, 1947, to Roger and Mary Henson (nee Paluga), Pat was a proud graduate of Madonna High School. She married the love of her life, Frederick James Wujcik. Their love story, though beautiful, faced an untimely end when Frederick passed away in 1992.
If you knew Pat, you'd know that she had a heart of gold. She wasn't just a mom, daughter, sister, and aunt; she was the comforting hug on a bad day, and an avid watcher every Jeopardy episode. The laughter that echoed during romantic comedies, comedies, board games, and puzzle sessions will be missed. She had a great love of flowers, and she wore her love for animals on her sleeve. Her absence will be deeply felt by her feline companions, Patch and Tigger.
Left to cherish her memories are her son, Jeremy; sister, Joanna Henson-Caroll; and her nephew and niece, Danny and Meredith Carroll.
Pat is now reunited with her parents, Roger and Mary; her husband, Frederick; her aunts Marge Boehm and Noema Henson; and her uncles, Bob and Ed Paluga, and Donald Henson.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Pat touched are invited to Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, for a visitation on Friday, September 1, from 11:30am to 12:45pm. Prayers will be said at 12:45 pm, after which a procession will head to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, where a mass will be held at 1:15pm. Following the mass, Pat will be laid to rest at McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock.
Let's remember Pat for all the love, fun, and warmth she brought into our lives. She might be gone, but those cherished memories will stay forever.
In lieu of flowers, all memorials can be directed to the family.
