Patricia A. Zezulak

Patricia A. Zezulak, nee Kozuch, age 92, beloved wife of the late George; loving mother of Mark, Kathleen (Robert Sklar) Zezulak, Cynthia (Pedro) Erviti, and Theresa Zezulak; cherished grandmother of Rachel (Max Silver) Sklar, and Sarah Sklar (Edwin Perez- Clancy), and Juliana (Pace) Ellsworth, and Monica (Ashwin Ramachandran) Erviti; great-grandmother of Ezra Silver, and Liam, Olive, Etta Ellsworth; dear sister of Robert Kozuch, the late Mary (the late John) Raftery, and the late Joanna Kozuch; also nieces and nephews.

Patricia grew up in a cold-water flat in Pilsen on the south side of Chicago. She attended St. Adalbert Elementary and St. Anne High School. Pat graduated with the class of 1953 from St. Anne's Hospital School of Nursing. In 1985 she earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from St. Xavier University. Her forty-five-year career included several hospitals and doctors' offices.

Pat read widely, played volleyball and tennis, enjoyed skating and biking, and was a life-long avid Cubs fan beginning as a reporter for her high school newspaper. She enjoyed attending Chicago Symphony concerts and traveling to her granddaughters' musical performances. Pat cherished visiting her children and grandchildren in other states and countries, attending all four granddaughters' high school and college graduations which brought her to Virginia, Massachusetts, Mexico City, Utah, Minnesota, Rhode Island, and California. She was present at all their baptisms as well, including one in the Philippines.

Patricia enjoyed making regular visits with her family to Morton Arboretum, Brookfield Zoo and the Art Institute of Chicago. Family was most important in her life, and when it became difficult for her to travel the last two wedding celebrations of her grandchildren were held in Woodridge so she could participate.

A Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 31st, at Christ the Servant Church, 8700 Havens Dr. from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery will follow Mass.
