PATRICK ARTHUR BOYLE, age 60, of Spencer, OH, died on January 18, 2026 at Cleveland Metro Hospital surrounded by loved ones following a car accident on January 5, 2026.
Patrick was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 5, 1965 to Allan E Boyle and Della-Marie Boyle. As a boy, Patrick was involved in Boy Scouts and Youth Groups. Patrick attended Padua Franciscan Highschool before earning a bachelor’s degree in Education from Cleveland State University, a Master’s of Education from Marygrove University and a Master’s of Mathematics from John Carroll University. He taught in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District for over 30 years. His passion for teaching is reflected in the hearts of generations of students and everyone his life touched.
A lifelong Catholic, Pat’s faith was central to who he was and how he lived. He was a proud 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and exemplified the values of charity, unity and fraternity.
A devoted father of three, he was involved with his children’s teams and 4-H clubs. He was the Scout Master of his sons’ Boy Scout Troop for several years. Pat also served his community as a volunteer firefighter and EMT. He was someone others could depend on, and dedicated his time to helping neighbors and loved ones. He is remembered for his big heart and love of animals. He especially loved his dog Scout, a loyal companion who comforted him and helped him through difficult life changes.
Patrick was preceded in death by his father, Allan Boyle and is survived by his wife, Jennifer Hancheck Boyle, and his three children, Connor Boyle, Morgan Boyle and Shannon Boyle. He is also survived by his mother, Della-Marie Boyle, and sisters Sheila Gardener and Michelle Boyle.
Funeral Mass Saturday, January 24, St. Patrick Church (West Park) at 10 A.M. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND, 4420 ROCKY RIVER DR. AT PURITAS, FRIDAY 4-7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations to Medina County SPCA would be greatly appreciated medinacountyspca.com
