Patrick Victor Calvin "Pee, Pat Pat, Panama" Alford Sr.

With deep sorrow but great gratitude for his life, we announce the passing of Patrick Victor Calvin Alford I, affectionately known as Pee, Pat Pat, and Panama. Patrick transitioned on May 9, 2025, surrounded by his Mother Sydell and covered in love and prayer. Born on Tuesday, November 7, 1982, Patrick was a fighter, a believer, and a creative spirit. In 2012 and again in 2021, he survived two catastrophic injuries. Though the latter left him incapacitated, he remained with us for 13 more years-years we count as precious gifts from God.

Despite his challenges, including the use of a tracheostomy, Patrick never lost his will to communicate and to love. One speech therapist recalled a moving moment when, asked what he would say to his mother, Patrick rasped with full heart, "I love you, Mommy." He often expressed his sentiments to his children and siblings-proof that even limited speech could not limit his love. Patrick loved music. His favorite song was "Oh Happy Day" from Sister Act, and he found great joy singing "Never Would Have Made It" with his sister. Music was not just a comfort, but a part of his testimony and praise.

Above all, Patrick was a man of unshakable faith. He believed in his healing and prayed fervently for the return of his missing son, Patrick Alford II. His life was marked by endurance, hope, and a love for his family.

Patrick was an independent tattoo artist, known for his creativity and connection with people through his art. He had a great sense of humor and loved making people laugh. As a child, he was involved in Boy Scouts, played baseball with Gerard Carter's team, and enjoyed flag football. He also had a love for music and played both the violin and the trumpet. He is survived by his loving mother, Sydell Mack; father, Clifton W. Alford; and bonus dad, Victor Alston. He leaves behind his children: Patrick Alford II, Jaileane Alford, Noria Bruington, and Elijah Bruington; and his grandson, Noah Alford. His memory is cherished by his sisters: Ciara Mack, Toccarra Mack, Calissa Alston, Shauna Alford, and Jessica James; and brother, Christopher McRae. He is also remembered by a great grand aunt, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Patrick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Helen Mack Savage and Tony Smith. He is also survived by his grandparents Sylvester Savage and Deborah Smith. Patrick's spirit, humor, creativity, and faith will remain with all who knew and loved him. He finished his race with courage, and we rejoice knowing he is now fully healed in the presence of the Lord.
